Robert Altschuler rejoins Cohen Asset Advisory Corp. as Senior Director of Leasing where he will be responsible for spearheading leasing of Cohen owned shopping centers as well as some of their clients.

Mr. Altschuler began his real estate career at Marx Realty and Improvement Co, Inc. in 1983. As Vice President and Director of Leasing, he leased over 1,500,000 square feet in properties across the country, including space to K-Mart, Target, Publix, Old Navy, Shoprite Supermarkets Toys R Us, Books A Million, Gap, Disney, Mandees, Applebees, Party City and many other retailers. Mr. Altschuler also participated in major acquisitions and dispositions including:

University Place, Huntsville, AL.; Virginia Home Quarters, Virginia Beach, VA; Woolworth, Greenwich, CT.; and The Mall, Huntsville, AL.

In 2000, Mr. Altschuler joined Cohen as a Managing Director and Director of Leasing. During his tenure, as a managing & leasing director some of his notable transactions include:

• Leasing over 500,000 square feet in 7 states to: Walgreens, Dollar Tree, Chase, Citibank, Sears, McDonald’s, AutoZone, Acme Supermarkets, and JoAnn Fabrics.
• Acquisition and sale of over 1,000,000 square feet of shopping centers and commercial properties on behalf of Cohen and their third party relationships.

Mr. Altschuler also Construction Managed the de-malling and re-tenanting of a 480,000sf mall in Horsham, Pa. and numerous tenant fit-ups in Brooklyn, NY, Orange, CT., Carteret, NJ. and Glen Burnie, Md.

Mr. Altschuler has a BSFS, Cum Laude, from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, is a Licensed Real Estate Broker (NY) and a member of the US Green Building Council. He has three children and resides in Westport, CT.
